Built Environment programmes accredited by leading industry body

The School of the Built Environment has just received accreditation from the  Institute of Occupational Safety & Health for its distance learning safety and risk programmes:

This will allow students to apply for graduate membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health as part of their career development towards Chartered status. The accreditation applies to any students who have graduated since 2005.

Dr Pauline Thompson, programme leader, said: "This is really good news. It is gratifying that the quality of our programmes has been recognised by the world's leading organisation in health and safety.

"These programmes are already very successful and well recognised by industry. I hope this accreditation will appeal to our large number of international distance learning students."
