The Department of Actuarial Mathematics & Statistics is launching a new MSc in Actuarial Management.
The first cohort of students will start the course in September 2011. The new programme builds upon the success of the BSc Actuarial Science and MSc Actuarial Science and will take an aspiring actuary most of the way to qualification.
The programme has been accredited by the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries in the UK, meaning that students who perform well on the programme can be exempted from many of the profession's more advanced examinations.
Professor Angus Macdonald, Head of Actuarial Mathematics & Statistics, said: "We are delighted to be adding this prestigious programme to our long-running programmes in actuarial science, which have established the Department's excellent reputation world wide."
