Actuarial science student scoops SCOR prize

Jennifer Healy, MSc Actuarial Science 2009, has won the SCOR life prize for her year, with a dissertation entitled "Multifactorial Genetic Disorders and Market Withdrawal: More on Epidemiology Meets Economics".

SCOR is a major global reinsurance company. It offers two prizes each year for MSc students in the UK and Ireland, for the best dissertations on life insurance and non-life insurance topics respectively.

Jennifer's project was supervised by Prof. Angus Macdonald and she is now working in the actuarial department of Irish Progressive Services International (IPSI).
