Weather disruption updates

Campuses open

The Edinburgh and Scottish Borders Campuses will be open as usual from Monday 13 December.

Exams update

The recent extreme weather conditions caused considerable disruption to the exams. Some exams were cancelled and some students have been unable to attend exams that were running.

In order to manage this disruption the University has formally invoked Regulation 31 to allow Schools' flexibility in responding to the ongoing problems. This regulation allows the University to make decisions on the award of credit when the full range of assessment results is not available.

If students have had their revision disrupted, this will be taken into account when reviewing performance. If your exam went ahead as scheduled but you were unable to attend then please contact your School Office to inform them of your circumstances. Students who have made reasonable effort to attend will not be disadvantaged.
