The Awards were the centrepiece of this year's launch of the University's Values. They linked to the top three university-wide staff survey actions, namely valuing and respecting everyone. 170 nominations were received in all covering all staff groups and from across our campuses in Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders and Dubai.
The Principal said "These Awards have been a resounding success. I was proud to launch our Values in spring of this year and to see the range of fantastic nominations for those members of staff who take these Values to the heart of their work. The awards have demonstrated that our Values help make us the kind of inspiring institution we are. I'm already looking forward to acknowledging members of staff who have gone that extra mile in 2011".
