Heriot-Watt's Psychology degree programme came top in a survey that measured student satisfaction with university courses. The National Student Survey (NSS) found that full time, first degree students rated the Heriot-Watt psychology degree the highest against 102 institutions that also offer this degree. The positive results obtained by the University were based on overall average score across all of the survey questions.
Several other Heriot-Watt degree programmes were also rated in the top 25% of institutions: Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Business Studies (mainly at the University's Scottish Borders Campus), Economics, which gained a 100% overall student satisfaction score.
Heriot-Watt's position has moved up 59 places in the league table. It is now 47th (out of 120+) universities), and achieved the highest ranking of the Edinburgh group of universities.
