Heriot-Watt University has been awarded a grant of £100,000 from the Leverhulme Trust.
The project will be led by Dr Magnus Bebbington, Lecturer in Organic Chemistry. Entitled "Organocatalytic free radical additions", it is concerned with the development of useful carbon-carbon bond-forming methods, designed to be applicable to the preparation of biologically active compounds.
The grant will fund a postdoctoral research associate for two years starting in October.
