Heriot-Watt University achieves SWAN Charter award

Athena SWAN logoHeriot-Watt University is one of 27 universities across the UK that has achieved a 2010 Award from the Athena SWAN Charter.

The Athena SWAN Charter rewards good practice in universities supporting the career progression of women in science, engineering and technology departments.

The University has held the Bronze Award since 2007 and the announcement sees an extension of the Award to April 2011. Further information about the Heriot-Watt submission and plans for the future can be found on Heriot-Watt's Equality & Diversity web pages.
