The first comprehensive fashion show for third year Fashion Technology and Fashion Design for Industry students at the School of Textiles and Design was held recently with over 250 tickets sold.
The show, 'On the Edge', was held in the Borders Campus Students' Union and was funded through fabric and accessory sales as well as the excellent ticket sales. There was also some generous local sponsorship.
The event was attended by students and lecturers, local businesses, friends and family of students, as well as representatives of the local media.
The organisers said that they were delighted with the turnout and the success of the event, and that any funds left over would go to a combination of a donation to charity and a roll-over to next year's event.
