Heriot-Watt students, Zawar Hakeem, Onray DonPaul, Bijender Dhanni and Essam Dingankar have successfully reached the finals of the CIMA Global Business Challenge Competition. The student team is from the School Management and Languages at Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus.
CIMA is a world-class professional accounting body which stands for the Chartered Institute of Management Accounting. This competition has attracted over 1400 universities world-wide across 18 countries.
School of Management and Languages in Dubai Academic Head, Michael Clarke commented: "I am delighted with the success of their accomplishments so far in the competition. To reach this final, the student team had to analyse and produce a substantive report which has provided recommendations to a Board of Directors of an international business specialising in mobile phone technology.
"The winner of the UAE finals will represent the United Arab Emirates in Malaysia later in August this year. The team is now being asked to present their recommendations to a panel of judges who represent business leaders of global businesses. We wish our team every success for the UAE final which is scheduled for the 1st June".
