Teo Wee
Research

Teo's main research interests lies in the area of structural concrete failure and analysis, particularly in shear. Currently he is actively involve in the research of FRP shear strengthening of concrete structures. Apart from FRP strengthening research, his other research interests also include ultra high performance fibre reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) and impact/blast resistance of structural members.

Biography

Teo Wee completed his BEng and PhD in civil engineering from The Queen's University of Belfast, UK. After completing his PhD studies, he practiced as a structural engineer for several years in civil and structural consultancies in the UK. Upon returning back to Malaysia, Dr Teo joined Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) as a Senior Lecturer with their Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. During his time at UTP, he was actively involved in research. He secured several research grants, including one external grant from the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR), two from the Malaysian Ministry of Education (FRGS) and a few internal grants from UTP.
