Roles and responsibilities
Susan Liew is Head of Campus Services and Student Accommodation.
She leads the campus services and student accommodation teams in the university to lead forward space planning and work closely with the Edinburgh Campus team to plan for Phase two of the campus extension.
The Campus Services team ensures that the campus and its facilities are well maintained and conducive for its users. This includes maintaining the campus facilities, managing outsourced facilities management services, health and safety, logistics, transportation, security and catering, car parking and visitors.
Student accommodation is currently provided in Cyberjaya, at properties rented by the university. The on campus student accommodation will be established in the near future. The portfolio includes the planning for and sourcing future accommodation provisions for the university, ensuring sufficient and quality accommodation to suit the needs of the students and managing current student accommodation units.
Susan received a Master of Business Administration from Victoria University, Australia. She has more than 16 years of working experience in the area of strategic planning, strategic marketing, business development and operational management from the education and franchise retail industry.
She has had the experience of successfully managing the challenging and competitive field of start-up businesses. She has had the experience of planning the establishment of a headquarter and central kitchen of a business, and then went on to oversee the setup of its retail chains located within the Klang Valley.
