Siti Nuralia Binti Mohamad Nazor
Roles and responsibilities
Siti Nuralia Binti Mohamad Nazor is Assistant Professor in Petroleum Engineering.
Alia holds a Master's degree in Petroleum Geoscience (Universiti Teknologi Petronas) and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Geology (Curtin University). She was awarded Best Geologist from Petronas in 2009 and two times Best Thesis in 2009 and 2010. Her research focuses on Malaysia’s basin specializing in Central Luconia’s carbonates looking at the quality of the reservoirs and its response towards sonic velocity. Other research areas are carbonate sedimentology, seismic interpretation and reservoir geology.
Her work has brought her to adventure to many rural places in Malaysia looking at exposed outcrops, river traversing and open quarry field work. Other than teaching Geoscience subjects, Alia has participated in exploration block bidding exercise and has supported the industry acting as the Intern Academic Supervisor.
