Roles and responsibilities
Arun Bajracharya is Assistant Professor with the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society.
Arun has research interests in system dynamics modelling, project dynamics, construction management, and urban transportation. He has worked in funded research projects in Singapore and Dubai, and he has published more than 20 journal and conference papers.
Arun Bajracharya has more than 10 years of experience in academics in teaching, programme administration, and research. He is a Civil Engineer by training, and he has worked in academic research projects in the leading South East Asian institutions such as the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the National University of Singapore (NUS). He has a Master’s Degree in Infrastructure Planning and Management from AIT and he holds a PhD Degree in Construction and Project Management from NUS.
Before joining Heriot-Watt University in 2015, Arun Bajracharya was working as an Assistant Professor at the British University in Dubai (BUiD) from 2009. At BUiD he has also worked as the Coordinator of MSc in Project Management programme which was being run in association with the University of Manchester, UK. Arun has also served the British College in Kathmandu as the Programme Leader of Post-Graduate Business and Management Programmes which were being offered in partnerships with University of the West of England and the Leeds Beckett University in UK. He has also worked in the Kathmandu University School of Management as an Assistant Professor and as undergraduate Programme Coordinator from 2007 to 2009.
