This lecture highlights the link between the monetary sector and urban economics, particularly on the cost of living, commercial and housing property prices, labour economics and the issues they create. Also addressed are the integration of the sustainable development goals (SDG) promoted by the United Nations and the solutions they provide, with a focus on Malaysia as well as other countries severely impacted by these issues.

This public lecture is open to the public and also to postgraduate students of Heriot-Watt University Malaysia who are studying Construction Project Management.
