Lesley Niezynski

Biography

Lesley is currently researching the relationship between humanity and technology within accounting, examining the impact of historical technology upon accounting's development in early modern England and how including technology-based philosophies in accounting research can contribute to bettering our understanding of the human impact of technology within our professions.

Background

Lesley joined Heriot-Watt in March 2021 as a PhD student/GTA in accountancy. Prior to this, Lesley worked in financial services within RBS, Sainsbury’s Bank and for the University of Edinburgh’s finance teams within the Centre for Dementia Prevention and the Centre for Open Learning. Lesley holds an MSc in International Accounting and Finance (Distinction) from Heriot-Watt, a post-graduate diploma in Advanced Architectural Design and a BSc (with honours) in Architectural Studies from Strathclyde University.
