Dr Lai Ling

Associate Professor

PhD

Lai Ling is a member of the HRM and Law group at Edinburgh Business School (EBS) and an Associate Professor teaching Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, Business Management and Research Methods courses. Her research focuses on communities of practice (CoPs) and its impact towards research in HEIs. Other areas of interests are in teaching and learning and student experience and workplace behaviour.

Background

Prior to joining Heriot-Watt in 2014, Lai Ling has spent more than 20 years of her career in HEIs in Malaysia, Vietnam and UK as an academic and is also involved in other non-academic (administrative and managerial) responsibilities in developing education and campus start-up.
