Fikri's PhD research tries to understand the role of consumers in the last-mile logistics service. The research looks to designing last-mile logistics service innovations implementation accounting the consumers' responses. The underlying interests are in identifying different consumers characteristics that influence their choice of last-mile logistics services and utilising this understanding to (re-) design the last-mile logistics service in the light of the new innovations emerging in the last-mile logistics sector.

Background

Fikri previously worked as a graduate teaching assistant at School of Business Management, Institut Teknologi Bandung, after he graduated from the Master of Science in Management program there. He was a tutor across various topics in business management, ranging from business statistics, decision making and negotiation, to study of human society. He was also a part of the research team on the study of the role of ride-hailing service in multimodal commuting in Jakarta, Indonesia. In 2022, Fikri was accepted as a PhD student in Management at Heriot-Watt University's Edinburgh Business School through the school's GTA scholarship.
