
Dr Ernest Ezeani
Associate Professor
Dr Ernest Ezeani is an Associate Professor in Accounting and leads Accounting and Finance courses on the MBA programme. He is research active and has examined over 20 doctoral (PhD/DBA) candidates at 10 UK and International Universities. His research is in corporate governance and corporate finance. Ernest is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). As HEA mentor, he has supported the professional development of colleagues at his previous institutions.

Background
Ernest has extensive experience in the UK HE sector. He was a Senior Lecturer in Banking and Finance at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU). Previously, he held a Senior Lecturer position in Accounting and Finance at De Montfort University (DMU) and a Lecturer position in Accounting and Finance at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). He is currently an external director of PhD studies at the University of Salford. As a Certified SAP Financial Accounting (SAP FI), Management Accounting (SAP CO), and ABAP Programming consultant, he implemented and configured Financial and Management Accounting systems in German IT companies.
Ernest served as a member of various panels at his previous institutions. He was a member of the University Review Panel (URP) at the University of Central Lancashire; the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) delivery group at Manchester Metropolitan University. He was also a part of the Curriculum Development and Inclusivity team at De Montfort University. As PG lead and Research Coordinator for the Accounting, Finance and Banking Department of Manchester Metropolitan University, he contributed to developing the departmental research culture. He is currently an external DBA examiner at Teesside University.
