Dr Aghdas Badiee
Research Associate
Aghdas is Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Edinburgh Business School's Centre for Logistics and Sustainability. She is a fan of Mathematics, particularly data-driven decision-making, operations research, and logistics systems.
In addition, she has a strong background in developing optimization tools for network design with applications to the transportation procurement, freight distribution and humanitarian services.
During her career, she was awarded several research teaching and service recognitions for her academic commitment. Her teaching activities consist of a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses on logistics, simulation, and optimisation for business, data science, statistics, and management science.
She has applied academic topics to real world projects in several commercial and non-profit organizations. Overall, her academic training and experience working as a teacher, lecturer, professional researcher and senior business analyst in interdisciplinary areas have prepared her to serve as an effective researcher and instructor.
