Parul Tyagi

Parul is a PhD candidate in Economics. Her research interests include health, nutrition, social-safety net programmes, and understanding underlying causes of poverty and inequality. Currently, her research focuses on the role of identity in public provisions of goods and services, and early childhood development.

  • MSc in Economics (SGPE) from the University of Edinburgh
  • BA (Honours) in Economics from Maharani College, University of Rajasthan

Background

Prior to her PhD program, she has mainly conducted mixed-method impact evaluations and process assessment of government programs with a focus on health, nutrition, and early childhood development interventions. She has worked as a researcher at the University of Glasgow, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the University of St Andrews.
