HIT – Head Impact Trauma Ltd

HIT was Euan Bowen's university major project. He identified a problem with diagnosing head knocks in rugby. His idea is to use a device to continuously monitor, detect and improve impact force detection without interrupting the game. HIT is a compact device that attaches to the user's hard-shelled cycling helmet. The device is connected to an app that shows live head impact G Force. When a user reaches a threshold, data is represented through a user-friendly traffic light system in a graph. After a hard hit, HIT can alert the user to look for concussion symptoms or seek medical attention immediately.
