About
Dr Lim is Year 3 & 4 Coordinator for the Chemical Engineering Programme. She teaches the BEng Chemical Engineering, BEng Mechanical Engineering, MSc Global Sustainability Engineering.
Biography
Dr Lim completed her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, United Kingdom in 2012. She is also the Associate Member of IChemE.
Research
Dr Lim is passionate about discovering new scientific knowledge. Turning waste into useful products is one of her research interests. She has worked with agriculture waste, including palm fibres, coffee waste, plant leaves and transforming them into valuable energy, chemicals or products that perceived to be more sustainable and environmentally to certain extent. Alongside, she has worked on conceptual modelling studies on energy related areas such as nanofluid, solar system, energy-water-climate nexus, lifecycle etc to provide insights, assessments, and the implications of these systems to the society as well as globally.
