Arrangements for On-campus Delivery in Academic Year 2021/22

We are here to support you through your studies as we prepare for the new academic year starting in September 2021. Our aim is to deliver an inspiring learning experience wherever you are in the world, with in-person teaching being complemented by online delivery, subject to any national government restrictions.

Our Responsive Blended Learning model worked successfully in the last academic year, allowing us to adapt to changing Covid-19 advice and restrictions, and to deliver the range of activities needed for all our degree programmes. We will continue to build on what we learnt in 2020/21 to offer the best mix of flexible online solutions and in-person on-campus teaching to provide you with everything you need to complete your studies.

We intend to deliver as much in-person on-campus teaching as possible from September 2021 with appropriate social distancing and safety measures applied, and we will continue to review national advice at each campus location, updating our teaching model accordingly. The balance of in-person, interactive online and recorded teaching that each student receives is based on the learning outcomes required from each of our degree programmes.

For Semester 1, all MACS courses will be fully backed by online-live and recorded sessions, for anyone who is not able to return to campus. While it is unlikely we will be able to have large groups gathering in person, we will adapt to offer smaller group activities. As soon as the teaching timetables are ready we will let you know, and your Department will keep you up-to-date about the details of your programme. In the meantime, stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you to Academic Year 2021/22.
