HWU First Aid Africa
Annual Fund Project Grant Recipients

HWU First Aid Africa aims to provide sustainable first aid training to those who need it the most in Sub-Saharan Africa. By providing this life saving knowledge through teaching, it will ensure that people 'know what to do' when accidents occur.

The First Aid Africa society received a grant in 2016 to allow them to go on expedition in Sub-Saharn Africa. The team teach life-saving first aid skills to schools and communities in rural areas.

"We take it for granted that in the UK an ambulance can be with us in minutes but in the areas where we work it can be hours before emergency support arrives. The skills that we have the opportunity to teach can be crucial in that situation."
