Heriot-Watt University complies with Data Protection and Freedom of Information Legislation and our own Records Retention Policy.
To ensure fairness and consistency in our recruitment and selection procedures, all applications received will be retained on file for a minimum period of six months. Where the successful candidate requires a Certificate of Sponsorship, we must keep all applicant information for that vacancy for a period of 4 years or until the Home Office has carried out an audit, whichever is the longer, irrespective of the outcome.
How your personal information will be used
