I give my personal thanks to everyone who has contributed to improving gender equality at Heriot-Watt over the last three years, and invite colleagues to join me in recommitting ourselves to championing gender and other equality issues across the University

Professor Richard A Williams, Principal and Vice-Chancellor

Guests chatted over tea and cake in the beautiful surroundings of Hermiston House gardens, and the more creative of the guests made origami swans. In their thank-you speeches, the Principal, Professor Gill Hogg and Professor Steve McLaughlin highlighted the journey taken from 2013 to 2017, and the personal contributions and teamwork required to make that happen.

The Principal said: “I give my personal thanks to everyone who has contributed to improving gender equality at Heriot-Watt over the last three years, and invite colleagues to join me in recommitting ourselves to championing gender and other equality issues across the University.”
