Apply for an academic English programme

Before completing this form, please ensure you are familiar with the different English programmes available. If you do not know which programme is most suitable, please contact the Academic English Department.

By the end of the programme, your English should be of a level sufficient to enable you to begin your degree studies. As long as you have passed all your assessments and attended fully, you will progress to your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree course. You are not expected to take IELTS or other external examination again.

You can apply online for our academic English programmes now.

You must create an account to use the online application form. You don't have to complete the application in one session; you can save what you have done so far and return to complete it at a later date.

Printed application form

If you are unable to use the online application form you can request a printed form from the International Recruitment Office.

Supporting documents

You will need to supply various documents to support your application. These include:

• copy of your English qualification(s)
• a copy of the photo page from your passport
• copy of your current UK Visa (if applicable)

Attaching your supporting documents

You can attach all your supporting documents to your online application form using the document upload facility. We will accept scanned documents at the application stage, but you may be asked to provide original copies of your documents at a later date.
