CMS user guide

The OpenText Content Management System (CMS) enables staff to create and edit content for the University website. Content contributors make changes to the website using SmartEdit which requires you to undergo training by the central web team. SmartEdit is accessed using Internet Explorer and web content is edited by clicking on a number of red dots which ‘open’ text for editing.

The User Guide is continually updated so please refer to the Web Team website for the latest version. A change in the version number e.g. from 1.4 to 1.5 indicates a significant change rather than minor edits.

Training schedule

Training is scheduled for nominated content contributors within sections or Schools that are within the CMS. Training typically takes two hours.
