Come and explore the opportunities and discover why we are The Sunday Times Scottish University of the Year 2012-13.

At our formal open days you'll have the opportunity to meet some of our current students and staff and hear about how exciting and rewarding the student experience is at Heriot-Watt University. You can also attend a series of presentations covering a wide range of topics relating to studying at Heriot-Watt University.

UK campus open days

Come and explore the opportunities and discover why we are The Sunday Times Scottish University of the Year for the second year running.

Our Open Day is a great opportunity for you to meet some of our current students and staff and hear about how exciting and rewarding the student experience is at Heriot-Watt University.We have a central exhibition of our Academic Schools where you can discuss your programme options with relevant members of staff. You can also attend one of our General Information Presentations covering a wide range of topics related to studying with us.

While you're on campus, you can take a tour with one of our current students to see the Students' Union, Sports Centre, Library and anywhere else that you think is important. You will also be able to view our Student Accommodation.

The Open Day is free and open to everyone: bring your friends, family or just yourself to find out more about student life at Heriot-Watt.

Our 2013 Open Days will take place on:

  • Friday 27th and Saturday 28th September (Edinburgh Campus)
  • Friday 11th and Saturday 12th October (Scottish Borders Campus)

Online registration

We strongly recommend that you book your place at the Open Day in advance via our online booking system. If you would like to register your interest in our Open Days we will email you a reminder when online bookings opens later in the year.

Dubai Campus open days

Our Dubai Campus open days will take place each month between December 2012 and September 2013.

Individual & applicant visits

If you can't attend one of our open days, you can still can arrange to come and visit the campus at other times. 

When you apply to Heriot-Watt you will be invited to attend an applicant open day.

If you are a teacher, college staff or career adviser, our Education Liaison Office is happy to visit your school or college to provide information, advice and guidance about Heriot-Watt University, and higher education in general.

We can also host campus visits for your school or college group. Contact us to find out more.
