Applicant Information Evening
The Applicant Information Evenings offer applicants and their families an introduction to the University. You will receive information about the history and background of Heriot-Watt, student support and accommodation, and student finance. One of our current students will also be on hand to share their experiences of studying at Heriot-Watt and generally talk about student life.
The format for the evening is:
- 18.30: Arrival with teas/coffees available
- 19.00: Presentations commence, including Q&A session
- 20.30 (approximately): Finish

We are running applicant information evenings in 8 different locations across the UK on the following dates. Spaces at these events are limited so please book your place using the links below.

Applicants should register to attend, but please also include the number of accompanying guests in your booking.
Your information
The information supplied on the booking form will be used by the University for the purpose of sending you materials regarding applicant events and the University generally. It will then be retained on a database to enable the University to conduct market research and quality assurance checks. The information will not be made available outside the University.
Please note that we are using an external provider (eventbrite.com) to manage our applicant event bookings. This means that your data will be stored by this external provider. If you do not wish to use Eventbrite to book your space at the applicant events please email the Education Liaison Office or call us on +44 (0) 131 451 3451.
Applicant visits
When you apply to Heriot-Watt you will be invited to attend an on-campus applicant open day, where you can find out more about your programme and the campus. These events run from January through to April and are by invitation only. You will receive an invitation and more information from the academic school you have applied to.
Individual visits
If you can't attend our formal open days, you can still arrange an individual visit to our UK campuses throughout the year. We are happy to arrange a guided tour to let you see our campus facilities. We will also try to arrange a meeting with a member of staff from your chosen subject area.

- For visits to our Edinburgh Campus, please contact our Education Liaison Office; if you are an international student, please contact our International Recruitment Office.
- For visits to our Scottish Borders Campus, please contact Ruth Paterson, Admissions Manager.
