This scholarship is available in 2013 for specified full-time postgraduate Masters courses in Architectural Engineering, Urban and Regional Planning, Water Resources . The award is available through Heriot-Watt to assist students from developing Commonwealth countries to come to the UK for a one-year taught Masters degree when they would otherwise be financially unable to do so. Government employees are ineligible. Awards made under this programme must be relevant to the economic, scientific and social development of the applicants' home country. The scheme is administered by the Association of Commonwealth Universities and applicants must have or expect to attain the equivalent of a UK First Class Honours Degree.
The Scholarships cover:
- tuition fees;
- a maintenance grant of £882 per month;
- an arrival allowance of £857;
- air fare to and from the UK.
