Further information
Students who are awarded an Access Bursary receive a total of £1,000 bursary for each year of study as long as they progress. The student is paid £1,000 in their first year of study (including those entering directly to Years 2 or 3), and £1,000 in each year after that if they have progressed. Students will receive this bursary in each year of an Honours degree. If the student is taking part in a paid work placement, the bursary will not be paid in this year.
To be eligible to apply, applicants should be studying an HNC, HND, Access Programme or Highers at a Scottish College, be at School and in receipt of the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA), or have been in care within the UK.
