How to finance your education is, understandably, a big issue for students considering studying at university.

We can help you to plan ahead and estimate the cost of your tuition fees and living expenses. Importantly, there are numerous forms of finance available to help support you financially while you study.

  • Tuition fees must be paid for each year of your programme. UK students may be eligible to have these paid by a Student Finance agency or through a Tuition Fee Loan from the government.

  • You can apply for scholarships and bursaries from Heriot-Watt, the Government, research councils, funding bodies and employers to financially support your studies.

  • Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to apply for student loans and maintenance grants to help pay for your tuition fees and/or your accommodation and other living costs.
