Self-catered rooms, en suite in new halls at Edinburgh Campus
We replaced about 300 of our 1600 rooms with new, state of the art facilities in 2012. This new residence is called Christina Miller Hall.
Take a look at the artist's impression photos and video to see what the new halls look like. You can also find out more by downloading our rooms for rent guide.
Study bedrooms
All of these new rooms are self-catered en suite. Each bedroom is 15 square metres – a lot larger than other halls you may have seen – with a ¾ sized bed, fantastic storage and a well designed study area.
The new halls of residence also have lots more communal space, including spacious shared kitchen and dining areas furnished with modern, fashionable furniture, and light and airy communal lounges, providing you with a fantastic space to relax, study or socialise in.
Study Bedroom – Flats
In addition to our standard study bedrooms we also offer study bedrooms in our new flats. The room size and layout is the same. However, these rooms benefit from significantly more kitchen/living space per student. Whereas, a typical standard room may have a shared kitchen between 5 and 10 students, the flats have a larger kitchen and living space shared between only 5 students.
A small number of studios are also available. These are self-contained flats with their own private kitchen, bathroom, living space and bedroom.
