Recreational Sport Programme
The Recreational Sport Programme (RSP) exists to deliver a wide variety of recreational level competitions to encourage maximum student participation. The programme is led by the Sports Union President. We have four main categories:
The badminton leagues are run on a monthly basis by the club with assistance from the SU President. All the leagues are tiered so it is easy to find a level to suit you.
Futsal is a 5-a-side football league that runs weekly. See the Futsal page for further information.
The golf programme is run as part of the RSP through the Golf Club volunteers. See Golf Club page for further information.
A weekly squash ladder is run by the Club Professional Claire Gray. All standards and abilities are welcome. You are responsible for organising matches, so it is up to you how much you play. You can find out more by contacting Claire@kiddsports.com.
There is a new 'Learn to Swim' programme available through the Swimming Club as part of the RSP. Click on the Swimming Club page for further information.
The programme is run as part of the RSP through the Tennis Club. See Tennis Club page for further information.
The Halls Sports Programme (HSP) is a sign up programme of activities open to all first years across both semesters. Managed in partnership by the SU President and the Halls Officer, the HSP will run mini competitions fortnightly in different activities throughout each semester in order to give first year students a chance to get active and build friendships in a fun and friendly environment.
