Rugby Club

Introduction & club history

The club has 2 Mens teams competing in the British University and Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues in the Scottish conference.

The 1st XV compete in tier 2A of the conference and the Conference Cup. The 2nd XV are also highly competitive in their bracket. The Ladies struggle with numbers but with more demand increasing year on year we hope to have a competiting team in BUCS soon.

The club is also in partnership with local club Currie RFC who have three teams competing across the Scottish Rugby national and regional leagues. Players joining the mens teams are encouraged to attend.

The club also has a strong social side.

Our club charter

We aim to provide the following service to all our members:

  1. To provide an opportunity for any student to participate in a regular form of Rugby appropriate to their desire and ability.
  2. To develop a comprehensive Rec Sport Rugby programme.
  3. To provide an opportunity for members to gain a worthwhile social experience through the Sport.
