Golf Club
Introduction
We offer the chance for people of all abilities to play; whether you are an expert or a complete beginner and would like to learn, the Golf Club offers something to everyone.
What does a typical season involve?
Recreational Sport Session
If you are a beginner to intermediate player then you should attend the RSP Golf Session on a Tuesday from 7.15 - 9.15pm. Our volunteer coaches will be in attendance to coach and provide some skills challenges for you.
Club Training
Our training session take place every Thursday from 7.15–9.15pm during term time.
Training takes place in our indoor Golf Academy, which is situated on campus next to the tennis courts. This is open to all members of the club. If you would like to learn there is the opportunity to benefit from some coaching, given by the Club Committee and category one players who attend the sessions.
Team Training
A selected group of eight players also attend fortnightly coaching sessions to work on all elements of your game. To be selected for team training you will have to qualify at the start of the semester via a Club strokeplay event. To find out more information on team training contact the club committee. There is a one-off fee to attend this coaching of £40 payable at the CSE reception.
Competitions
The club also competes against other Scottish Universities in league matches, as well as competing in several SSS stroke play events, culminating in the yearly individual and team Championships at Lossiemouth GC which is held at the end of March.
How do I join the club?
Membership is open to all members of the CSE and the Golf Club membership just costs an additional £10 for the academic year. You can join at the Sports Centre Reception or online via our new system.
