Membership & prices
You can use the facilities at the Centre for Sport & Exercise by paying a one-off 'pay as you play' fee, or by taking out a membership.
Membership offers you an easy, value for money way of regularly exercising.
Members benefits from:
- free access to all facilities at the Sports & Exercise Centre
- discounted rates for facilities at the Sports Academy
- discounted rates for Sports Active services
All members pay an additional fee for the use of astrodome, all pitches, coaching courses, inductions, fitness assessments and advisories.
If you exercise twice or more each week, then a membership will be a more cost effective method of payment for you than paying as you play.

Students
Student prices apply to current matriculated students at Heriot-Watt University.

Staff
Staff prices apply to payrolled member of Heriot-Watt University staff with a valid staff ID card.

Associates
Associate prices apply to:
- spouses, civil partners and children (over 16) of Heriot-Watt University staff and students
- Heriot-Watt University graduates
- employees of companies and institutions in the Research Park
- former members of Heriot-Watt University staff with minimum of one year's service

Community

Guests
All members may introduce guests as follows:

Children
Child prices apply to the children of members. Children must be under 16 years of age to qualify for the child price.

Terms of membership
- All members pay an additional fee for the use of astrodome, all pitches, coaching courses, inductions, fitness assessments and advisories.
- Membership fees are non refundable.
- Members who lose their card can acquire a new card on payment of replacement fee.
