The Watt Club is the UK's oldest graduate association, founded in 1854. Today it has over 82,000 members who live in 169 countries around the world. As you graduate, you automatically become a member of The Watt Club. Benefits of being a member include event invitations, discounts on services, access to a contact database of graduates and communications from the University. Be sure to keep the Development & Alumni Office up to date when you change email or postal address in the future.
DVD and Merchandise
Around the time of the graduations, a DVD of your ceremony will be available and there is an opportunity to purchase Heriot-Watt branded merchandise.
In Malaysia, we have over 3,500 graduates and they have a very active club which you are more than welcome to join for business and social networking. The club is called The Malaysia Watt Club and more information as well as an application form is available by clicking here.
The full range of services provided by the Careers Advisory Service, including individual careers guidance interviews, is available to graduates of Heriot-Watt University for up to two years after graduation. As a Heriot-Watt graduate, you are entitled to use our Quick Query service to get your CV, Cover Letter or Application Forms checked, use the career planning resources in the Information Room and attend employer presentations, careers skills workshops and other events organised by the Careers Service. The Chaplaincy will be open during the Graduation days to graduands and their friends and families, who are welcome to relax in the homely lounge and enjoy a tea or coffee. A welcome is extended to those who are religious and to those of no faith. The building is host to many activities, including social gatherings, fellowship meetings and music practice, as well as being a place for contemplation, worship and prayer.
