Academic Registry: Examinations
Overview
The Academic Registry is responsible for implementing and developing
procedures relating to examination processes for students within the University
including the following:
- preparing undergraduate examination timetables in accordance with University regulations
- providing guidance to invigilators on examinations regulations and procedures
- nomination of chief invigilators
- making arrangements in respect of students taking examinations off-campus
- establishing world-wide examination centres for distance-learning examinations
- organising and monitoring the examination and assessment results process
- monitoring and developing examinations procedures
- processing applications for examination re-assessments
- co-ordinating the issue of assessment results letters
- co-ordinating special examination arrangements for students with special needs
- producing bi-annual reports on student progress to grant awarding authorities
