Student enrolment

Continuing Students

If you are continuing your studies with Heriot-Watt University in Academic Year 2013/14, you are required to enrol online by 9th September 2013 or the 15th September 2013 for Dubai campus students.

 

Key Enrolment Dates

All continuing students can enrol online from the 8th August 2013 if you have a proceed decision from your last academic year of study. You will find the examination board decision on your Assessment Results online

  • Students who receive a decision to allow them to pass/proceed at the Summer Examination Boards will be able to enrol online from the 8th August 2013.

  • Students with a decision which requires a reassessment will automatically be registered for the reassessment. For further information on reassessment procedures and contact details please visit our Reassessment Procedures webpage.
  • Students who receive a decision to allow them to pass/proceed at the Resit Examination Boards will be able to enrol online once they receive a further Assessment Results online. These will be available online from the 21st August 2013.

  • If you are returning from a Temporary Suspension of Studies the above will apply to you depending on the last academic decision given to you prior to your suspension.

Students who are currently studying on, or have transferred to, a Combined Studies course will be required to meet with their Appropriate Director of Studies to discuss study options prior to being able to enrol.

 

Online Enrolment

Before you enrol for 2013/14, you should ensure you have arrangements in place for the payment of your tuition fees and you know which courses you will be registering on. For more information on tuition fees please visit our tuition fees page. Students with an outstanding debt will NOT be able to enrol until the debt is paid.

Information on the courses you should register for will be provided during online enrolment in the form of Guidance Sheets or from your School/Institute.

If you are eligible to enrol, you can access online enrolment from the 8th August 2013, please click here and enter to your Person ID/Registration Number and PIN.

 

Late Enrolment

All students should enrol by the start of the new Academic year on the 16th September 2013 or the 15th September 2013 for Dubai campus students. If you fail to enrol by this date, a late fee of £40 or 230 AED may be charged.  Exemption from the payment of a late fee may only be considered in certain cases.

 

Temporary Suspension of Studies

If you intend to apply for a suspension of studies, please contact your School/Institute Office.

 

University Withdrawal

If you wish to withdraw from the University, please complete the University Withdrawal from available from http://www.hw.ac.uk/registry/studentrecords.htm
