The Heriot-Watt Technology Transfer Office
It's the job of the office to help you make the most of your research activity at Heriot-Watt; this is done by guiding you through the processes and paperwork, highlighting potential funding sources and identifying commercialisation routes. The team looks forward to working with you, answering any questions or hearing your good ideas for a new product, process or piece of software code.
How it can help
The office is part of Research & Enterprise Services (RES), offering professional level support to staff through expertise in research proposal development, business development, intellectual property and legal advice, research training and research commercialisation through licensing/ spinout activity.
The office supports the University's knowledge exchange strategy and plays an important role in preparation for REF2014 and in making sure Heriot-Watt research has IMPACT on the wider community.
