This year the Student Union hosted the staff Christmas party with over 250 people attending. The event was a very succesful with sales of tickets also raising £750 for local Edinburgh Charity, Cyrenians.

Edinburgh Cyrenians is an independent Scottish Charity seeks creative solutions to the problems faced by people on the margins of society, such as; homelessness, poverty, deep unemployment, recovery from addiction and recidivism.

Commenting on the event Mike Ross, Student Union President, had this to say; “The event was a massive success and would not have been possible without the hard work put in by Jacqui, Graham and all of the Union staff to ensure that everything was well organised and ran smoothly. It was great to have so many staff in to use the Union and the money raised for charity was fantastic bonus. I’d be delighted for us to have the opportunity to host the University Christmas party again for 2013”
