The SCHOLAR programme, developed by Heriot-Watt University, has already helped 16-year-old Saad achieve A-grades in his Intermediate maths exam.
The Royal Blind School pupil is now pursuing Higher maths and physics with the help of SCHOLARís materials, a unique resource available to all Scottish students.
The programme uses a voice option with special software so students can hear teaching materials.
Saad also uses a Braille terminal, Braillenote, which connects to his laptop and converts what is shown on screen for him to read.

Saad said, "The SCHOLAR programme has been extremely useful as the online material is easy to follow and has allowed me to work at my own pace and advance my studies in maths and physics. I particularly like that I can test myself online as I go along.
"When I complete my Highers I plan to study a physics and music course and using SCHOLAR has not only helped me achieve my qualifications but it has also helped prepare me for studying at University."
