A reception for new students and their families will be held at the Edinburgh Campus on Saturday 1 September from 2.30pm to 4.00pm in the Middle Floor Dining Room, Hugh Nisbet Building, Edinburgh Campus.
Representatives from Schools, Institutes and Professional Service sections are encouraged to attend the event to meet new students and their parents. If you are planning to attend it would be appreciated if you could confirm this with Jacqui Stewart, Academic Registry, on J.Stewart@hw.ac.uk or ext 3369.
The reception provides an immediate opportunity to answer any questions from new students and their parents, and helps to provide reassurance. There will be short welcome speeches from Kathy Patterson, Academic Registrar and Deputy Secretary, and the Students Association at around 3.15pm.
Feedback from this event in previous years has been extremely positive; parents commented that they felt they had been made welcome at the University and they appreciated the University’s hospitality.
