A short memorial service to commemorate the life of the Rev. Howard Taylor will be held in the Chaplaincy on Friday 24 May at 12.00, followed by a sandwich lunch at 12.30. All are welcome to attend.
Howard Taylor was the University Chaplain from 1998 to 2008 and recently died after a short illness. He was instrumental in establishing the Chaplaincy as a place of welcome for international students and in developing the Annual Chaplaincy Lecture as a major public lecture in the university's calendar. He also taught elective courses in Moral and Social Philosophy and in Philosophy of Science and Religion within the School of Management and Languages.
