Two teams led by Heriot-Watt Principal Professor Steve Chapman and Head of Engineering and Physical Sciences Professor Steve McLaughlin will debate the motion "This House believes that the Industrial revolution went too far too fast" in The Watt Club's inaugural James Watt Debate on Wednesday March 6. With teams made up of current and past students, and moderated by Head of Life Sciences, Professor David Hopkins, the debate is sure to create great discussions on the advancement of science.
Hosted by Heriot-Watt's Alumni Association – The Watt Club – the debate will follow The Watt Club's Annual Meeting, and is open to all staff and students of Heriot-Watt, as well as all of our alumni. You are encouraged to come along and network with alumni from around the world.
