The Careers Service recently completed the graduate destination survey of 2012 first degree graduates and is pleased to inform colleagues that the results are very positive.
The performance indicator (PI) used is the percentage of UK, full-time, first degree graduate respondents securing either graduate level employment or further study and for 2012 cohort the figure is 77.6%. This is the highest figure recorded in the past 10 years.
It remains to be seen whether this improvement is echoed across the UK but it augers well not only for our graduates but also for the related league tables and university rankings, most of which use a similar PI.
