The University was saddened to hear of the death of Professor George Smith on Wednesday 2 January. Professor Smith was a Lecturer in the Department of Civil and Offshore Engineering and worked at the University from 1984 to 2006, prior to moving to the University of Exeter.
The funeral takes place this week, on Thursday 10 January at 10.00am at the Seafield Crematorium, Seafield Road, Edinburgh.
